The Kitchen provides nonprofit organizations with donation opportunities via our popular Spirit Day program.
Spirit days are available on Mondays & Tuesdays throughout the year on a first-come, first-served basis. Complete and submit a request form below to get started today!
Who Qualifies
Any nonprofit organization with more than 50 members with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt number, recognized by the government as a nonprofit organization (or other authorized group). For more information regarding 501(c)(3) tax status, please visit www.irs.gov.
Complete the Following Steps to Get Started
- Select a Monday or Tuesday for your event, then complete and submit the Spirit Day request form below.
- The Kitchen will send you an email to confirm and finalize the plans for your event. We will create a fundraising event flyer to include your specific details.
- Promote the event! Send emails, make posters, update social media pages and handout flyers to your friends and coworkers – but remember, event flyers cannot be distributed on The Kitchen premises on the day of your event.
- Your organization will receive 20% of each sale (Up to $500 – does not include gift card purchases) when your flyer is presented to a server. Each separate check requires a flyer.
- Your donation check from The Kitchen will arrive 2 to 4 weeks after the event date.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Flyers for your event cannot be distributed on restaurant premises (inside the restaurant, at the door, or in the parking lot) on the day of your event. If this does happen, The Kitchen will ask the individual(s) to stop and the event may be subject to cancellation
Tips for Spirit Day Success
Put your event flyer in your organizations newsletter and on your marquee
Announce your Spirit Day event on your organization’s website and include a link to the flyer’s PDF
Send emails to family and friends with the PDF flyer as an attachment
Try to get an announcement in your local newspaper
Share your flyer on social media sites
